History and achievements of the Honda Integra Type R DC5: The Honda Integra, known in North America as the Acura Integra, is a car produced by the Japanese company Honda since 1985. This model gained immense popularity due to its sporty performance and excellent handling. The Type R version, produced from 1995 to 2001, is considered one of the best front-wheel-drive cars of all time.

The fourth generation of the Honda Integra, designated as the DC5, was introduced to the market in 2001. In Japan, it was available in two versions: iS (later renamed Type S) and Type R. The Type R version featured a reduced weight, a more powerful K20A engine with 217 hp, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential. This car was also equipped with a sports suspension, Brembo brakes, and specially designed headlights.

The Honda Integra Type R DC5 gained recognition not only among drivers but also in the world of motorsports. In 2005 and 2006, this model, under the Honda brand, won the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with Matt Neal behind the wheel, representing the Dynamics team.
