Description

Plastic model kit: Hurricane Mk I Trop 1:48 Arma Hobby 40016 Plastic model of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk I fighter in the tropical version (Trop), produced by the Polish company Arma Hobby in 1:48 scale. The Hurricane was one of the key fighter aircraft of the Royal Air Force during World War II, serving on almost all fronts of the conflict. The Trop version was specially adapted for operations in harsh desert and tropical conditions by using a characteristic Vokes dust filter under the nose of the machine. Set contents:

Plastic sprues made of light grey material
Clear sprue with cockpit glazing
Decal sheet with markings for various units
Sheet of masks for painting the cockpit and wheels

Hurricane Mk I trop, serial number 284, code J, No. 3 Squadron SAAF, Kenya 1941. On this aircraft, Lt. Robert Kershaw rescued the downed commander, Cpt. John Frost, over Dire Dawa (Ethiopia), evacuating him to the home base (March 15, 1941).
