Hawker Hurricane Mk IIc – historical background:

The Hawker Hurricane is a British single-seat fighter that gained fame for its reliability and versatility. Designed by Hawker Aircraft, it was one of the mainstays of the Royal Air Force during World War II. Its design, although less modern than the Supermarine Spitfire, was more resistant to damage, making it highly valued among pilots.

The Hurricane Mk IIc, an evolution of earlier versions, was equipped with the Merlin XX engine, which significantly improved its performance. Thanks to the two-speed supercharger, the aircraft could adjust engine power to different flight altitudes, enhancing its combat effectiveness. The Mk IIc version was armed with four 20 mm Hispano cannons, making it a powerful tool in air combat and during fighter-bomber missions.
