This plastic model kit depicts the carrier-based aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) from World War II. The models are made in 1:450 scale, making them an ideal complement to aircraft carrier models in the same scale.

Historical background:
The carrier aviation of the Imperial Japanese Navy (Nippon Kaigun) was one of the most powerful air forces at the beginning of the Pacific War. Japanese designs, such as the famous Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter, set standards for maneuverability and range. As the conflict progressed, more modern aircraft were introduced, such as the B6N Tenzan torpedo-bomber and advanced N1K3-A Shidenkai fighters, which were meant to counter the growing technological superiority of the Allies.

The kit includes a decal sheet with markings for various air units based on aircraft carriers such as Shinano, Zuikaku, Junyo, and Taiho.
