Plastic model airplane kit: IJN Carrier Aircraft Set (QG30) 1:350 Hasegawa 72130
The IJN Carrier Aircraft Set 1:350 Hasegawa 72130 (QG30) is a set of plastic model airplanes designed to complement models of Japanese aircraft carriers from World War II in 1:350 scale.
This set includes miniature models of the following airplanes, cast from clear plastic:
- 3x Aichi D3A1 Type 99 (Val) - carrier dive bomber.
- 3x Mitsubishi A6M2b Type 21 (Zero) - carrier fighter.
- 6x Nakajima B5N2 Type 97 (Kate) - carrier torpedo or bomber aircraft (with an option to choose armament).
These airplanes were standard equipment on Japanese aircraft carriers, such as Akagi, at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Assembly and painting required. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
