Description
Plastic model kit: IJN Yamato "Operation Ten-Go 1945" with American carrier aircraft 1:450 Hasegawa SP656
Limited model kit released on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, depicting the Japanese battleship Yamato in its 1945 configuration, during its final mission - Operation Ten-Go.
The battleship Yamato was the largest battleship in history, a symbol of the power of the Imperial Japanese Navy. In April 1945, it was sent on a suicide mission towards Okinawa, where it was attacked and sunk by American carrier aviation. The 1:450 scale model accurately replicates the silhouette of the ship with heavily developed anti-aircraft armament, characteristic of the late war period.
Features of the kit:
- Plastic model of the battleship Yamato in 1:450 scale.
- Additional elements made using 3D printing technology: 3 American carrier aircraft in parked position.
- Special decal sheet containing markings for American air units that may have participated in the battle for Tokunoshima Island (Operation Ten-Go).
- High quality of details characteristic of Hasegawa limited editions.
Assembly and painting required. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
