Plastic model kit: IJN Yukikaze / Isokaze Destroyers (2 pcs.) 1:700 Fujimi 461038
Model kit from the Fune Next series allowing the construction of two Japanese Kagero-class destroyers: Yukikaze and Isokaze. The models feature a design that allows assembly without the use of glue, and the included photo-etched parts significantly enhance the level of detail of the units.
Historical background:- Yukikaze – one of the most famous Japanese destroyers of World War II, known as the "unsinkable." It participated in almost all key operations in the Pacific, including the Battle of Midway, the fighting for Guadalcanal, and the escort of the battleship Yamato during Operation Ten-Go. It was the only one of 18 Kagero-class ships to survive the war.
- Isokaze – a unit with a rich combat history, participating in the attack on Pearl Harbor, the raid on the Indian Ocean, and the battle in Leyte Gulf. It was scuttled by its crew in April 1945 after sustaining heavy damage during Operation Ten-Go.
- The set includes two complete ship models.
- It comes with dedicated photo-etched sheets with details such as railings, ladders, and mast elements.
- Snap-fit construction – no glue required.
- Parts are molded in colors close to the original, allowing for a good effect even without painting.
Assembly kit. Does not include paints or tools. No glue is required for assembly.
For assembly, you will need, for example, a knife or pliers - to cut the plastic parts from the frames. Additional modeling tools (such as files or tweezers) and paints will also be helpful (but are not required).
