Description
Israeli AF Paint Set (1970's Desert Colours) 6x17ml Hataka HTK-BS12
Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting. It contains 6 colors essential for recreating the desert camouflage of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) used in the 1970s.
After the Six-Day War, the existing paint scheme for Israeli support aircraft (brown and blue on a gray underside) was deemed unsuitable for operations over Sinai. In July 1967, a new scheme was introduced, later known as the "1970's desert scheme," consisting of the colors Sand, Pale Green, and Dark Tan on a Duck Egg Blue underside. The A-4H/N Skyhawk aircraft used the shade Green instead of Pale Green, while some Mirage III fighters still flew in natural metal color in 1970.
Contents of the set:
- HTK-B078 Aluminium - general color of Mirage III aircraft from 1962 to the early 70s.
- HTK-B012 Dark Tan (FS30219) - upper surfaces of MD 450, F-4, A-4, Nesher, Super Mystere, Fouga Magister, and helicopters
- HTK-B090 Sand (FS33531) - upper surfaces of MD 450, F-4, A-4, Nesher, Super Mystere, Fouga Magister, and helicopters
- HTK-B091 Pale Green (FS34227) - upper surfaces of MD 450, F-4, A-4, Nesher, Super Mystere, Fouga Magister, UH-1D, and CH-53D
- HTK-B092 Duck Egg Blue (FS35622) - lower surfaces of MD 450, F-4, A-4, Nesher, Super Mystere, Fouga Magister, and helicopters
- HTK-B093 Green (FS34258) - used instead of Pale Green on A-4H/N Skyhawk aircraft
Blue Line paints are characterized by high pigment content and excellent coverage. The special formula minimizes brush marks, providing a smooth, matte finish once dry.
