Description
Plastic model aircraft for assembly: Israeli Air Force F-15I Raam 1:48 Academy 12217
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine fighter and attack aircraft, which first flew on July 27, 1972. The F-15 aircraft is the result of lessons learned from air combat over Vietnam, as well as the USAAF's response to Soviet MiG-23 and MiG-25 fighters. It was created as part of the FX (Fighter Experimental) project, in which McDonnell-Douglas won in 1969.
The F-15I Raam (Thunder) version is the Israeli modification of the F-15E Strike Eagle, adapted to the specific requirements of the Israeli Air Force (IAF). This machine combines powerful air superiority capabilities with advanced strike systems, allowing for precise attacks on ground targets at long ranges. The F-15I is powered by two Pratt-Whitney F100 engines, which provide it with an excellent thrust-to-weight ratio, enabling tight maneuvers even with a heavy weapons load.
The Academy model in 1:48 scale accurately reproduces this powerful machine. The set includes:
- Parts made of clear plastic and transparent sprues for the cockpit glazing.
- High-quality decal sheet allowing for the model to be finished in Israeli Air Force markings.
- Finely detailed panel lines and cockpit details.
- A rich set of underwing ordnance characteristic of the Ra'am version.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are required (including sprue cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
