Description
Israeli Air Force Paint Set (Early Period) 6x17ml Hataka HTK-BS34
Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing the standard colors used by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) from 1948 to 1967.
In the early period of independence, the Israeli aviation used various camouflage patterns. The first aircraft operated in makeshift green-brown colors, which were later supplemented with standard colors of the British RAF (used on Spitfire aircraft) and a finish in natural metal color (Mustang, Mosquito). Czechoslovak Avia S-199 were the only aircraft painted entirely in Reed Green. From 1955, a new camouflage standard was introduced consisting of Grey-Blue and Medium Brown on the upper surfaces and Silk Grey on the lower surfaces, except for interceptor fighters, which remained in aluminum color.
The set includes 6 bottles of 17ml with a dropper:
- HTK-B170 Reed Green (RAL 6013) - general color of Avia S-199 aircraft
- HTK-B171 Grey-Blue (RAL 5008) - used on upper surfaces in the standard IAF camouflage from 1955-1967
- HTK-B172 Medium Brown (FS30215) - used on upper surfaces in the standard IAF camouflage from 1955-1967
- HTK-B173 Silk Grey (RAL 7044) - used on lower surfaces in the standard IAF camouflage from 1955-1967
- HTK-B030 European I Grey (FS36081) - color of the lower surfaces of Gloster Meteor NF.13 aircraft
- HTK-B078 Aluminium - standard color of early P-51D and Mosquito, later the general color of interceptor fighters
