Plastic model car to assemble: Jaguar XJ220 1:24 Italeri 3631
The Jaguar XJ 220 became famous for its maximum speed among mass-produced cars, reaching up to 350 km/h. This record was maintained throughout its production period, from 1992 to 1994.
The creation of the XJ220 is remarkable in that it stemmed from the ideas and creativity of Jaguar employees. Some employees worked on innovative and original projects outside the scope of routine commercial considerations.
A working group called "The Saturday Club" led to the creation of a "concept car," which was presented at the British Motor Show in 1988, garnering critical acclaim. From these initial development efforts emerged the Jaguar XJ 220, with the first production model appearing in 1991.
The lightweight and extremely powerful car had the performance characteristics of a true "top sports car" and was recognizable for its aerodynamic design and extremely modern lines for that period. International rock stars and wealthy businessmen were eager buyers of this prestigious vehicle.
Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. Assembly requires separately sold modeling tools (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
