Plastic figure to assemble and paint: Janissaries 16th-18th century AD 1:72 Zvezda 8050
A set of figures of elite warriors of the Ottoman Empire. The Janissaries appeared in 1365. They were recruited from Christian youth aged 12 to 16 (Albanians, Bulgarians, Serbs) who converted to Islam. They were considered the sultan's slaves, lived in barrack monasteries, and were initially not allowed to marry or manage a household. In addition to military arts, the Janissaries studied calligraphy, law, theology, literature, and languages. The Janissaries were distinguished by their particular cruelty and fearlessness in battles against Austrians, Serbs, Byzantines, Russians, and many other nations.
Set for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
