Ju 88A-4 is an extension of the concept of a fast bomber, designed to outperform contemporary fighters. Designed by the German company Junkers Flugzeug – und Motorenwerke AG, the Ju 88 became one of the most important Luftwaffe bombers. From the spring of 1941, the A-4 version was produced, equipped with Jumo 211J engines of increased power and more advanced armament.
The Ju 88A-4 was the most mass-produced and significant bomber of the Luftwaffe, participating in most air operations until the end of the war. Its versatility and adaptability made it suitable for various roles, from bombing to reconnaissance and close support.
