History and development of the KAI TA-50 Golden Eagle: The KAI TA-50 Golden Eagle is the first South Korean supersonic training aircraft, which also serves as a light fighter and attack aircraft. Its development began in the late 1990s, and the first flight took place in 2002. In 2005, the aircraft entered service with the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). The TA-50 is one of several versions developed based on the T-50, which also includes aerobatic and combat variants such as the T-50B and FA-50.

International service: The TA-50 and its variants are used by the air forces of several countries. Indonesia introduced 16 TA-50 aircraft into service in 2014, and Thailand ordered 12 T-50TH units in 2015. Poland and Malaysia have also decided to purchase the FA-50.
