Plastic model for assembly of the German light armored communication vehicle Kfz. 14 in 1:72 scale. The set comes from the popular publishing series "September 1939" by the Polish manufacturer First To Fight and additionally includes a historical booklet describing the vehicle and the realities of the era.

History of the original:

The Kfz. 14 (Funkkraftwagen) is a specialized variant of the German light armored car Kfz. 13, developed in the early 1930s based on the chassis of the civilian Adler Standard 6 passenger car. The vehicle was designed as a radio communication vehicle for reconnaissance units of the Reichswehr and later the Wehrmacht. Unlike the combat version (Kfz. 13), the Kfz. 14 did not have armament in the form of a machine gun. Instead, it was equipped with a long-range radio station and a characteristic, large frame antenna mounted above the crew compartment. The crew was increased to three people to enable efficient operation of the transmitting and receiving equipment.

These vehicles took an active part in military operations during the September Campaign in Poland in 1939 and the French Campaign in 1940. Although they were already obsolete designs at the outbreak of the war (weak armor, lack of four-wheel drive), they served in frontline units until 1941, when they were finally replaced by more modern designs from the Sd.Kfz. 221/222 and Sd.Kfz. 260/261 family.
