Lifecolor UA514 RAAF Foliage Green 22ml paint UA514
Lifecolor acrylic paint in the color RAAF Foliage Green (FS24092), intended for painting scale models. This color was a key element of the camouflage used by the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II.
The RAAF was actively involved in military operations from 1939, supporting the British RAF in Europe and defending Australian territory and maritime routes in the Pacific. The Foliage Green color was commonly found on aircraft such as:
- Consolidated PBY Catalina
- Bristol Beaufort
- Curtiss P-40 Kittyhawk
- Supermarine Spitfire
- De Havilland Mosquito
- Consolidated Liberator
Instructions for use:
- Dilute preferably with dedicated Lifecolor Thinner or water to a milk-like consistency.
- When airbrushing, low pressure is recommended, and using a retarder contained in the dedicated thinner to prevent the paint from drying on the needle.
- It is advisable to apply several thin layers instead of one thick layer.
- Tools should be cleaned with water immediately after finishing work.
