Plastic military model for assembly: M113A1 Vietnam War with 1:35 figures Academy 13266
A plastic model for assembly depicting the American M113A1 armored personnel carrier in its Vietnam War version. The M113 is one of the most iconic designs in military history, introduced into service in 1960. Thanks to its aluminum armor, the vehicle was characterized by low weight, which allowed for air transport and ensured amphibious capability. The A1 version was equipped with a diesel engine, which significantly improved range and crew safety compared to earlier gasoline variants.
Model characteristics:- Scale: 1:35
- Accurately reproduced crew and engine compartments (full interior)
- The set includes 5 figures
M113 APCs became a symbol of US involvement in the Vietnam conflict, where they earned the nickname "Green Dragon". They were used not only for transporting infantry but also as fire support vehicles (ACAV), ambulances, or mortar carriers. Their versatility led to them being adopted by over 45 countries and, after numerous modernizations, they remain in service with many armies worldwide to this day.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are required (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
