The M1 Abrams is a modern third-generation American main battle tank, which entered mass production in 1979. Powered by an Avco Lycoming AGT-1500C turbine engine with 1500 HP, this vehicle became the foundation of American armored forces, replacing the Patton tank family. At the time of its introduction, this design was distinguished by unprecedented mobility and an advanced fire control system.

The M1A2 SEP v2 version represents a significant development of the Abrams platform, equipped with modern information exchange systems, battlefield management, and improved weapon control systems. This model replicates the variant equipped with the Trophy APS active protection system and the CROWS LP remotely controlled weapon station.
