Historical background: The Marauder Mk.III is the British version of the American B-26 Marauder bomber, produced at the Middle River factory. A total of 200 units were delivered to the British armed forces, where they served in the RAF and SAAF. These aircraft were based on the B-26F model, which featured significant modifications to the wings and a new fuel tank ventilation system. The Mk.III version differed from the B-26F mainly in the use of a spoked nose wheel and modifications to the rear gunner's position.
The Marauder Mk.III played a significant role in military operations, supporting, among others, the Allied landing in Italy. These aircraft were used by the 14th and 39th RAF squadrons and the 12th, 21st, 24th, 25th, and 30th SAAF squadrons.
Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
