Description
A plastic model kit depicting the legendary Tudor warship – the Mary Rose. This 1:400 scale starter set from Airfix is an excellent choice for those starting their adventure with modeling, offering a low skill level (Skill Level 1) while maintaining fidelity to historical details.
The Mary Rose was a 16th-century English four-masted carrack, built between 1509-1510 by order of King Henry VIII. During its 33 years of service, it participated in numerous conflicts with France, Scotland, and Brittany, becoming one of the most powerful ships in Europe at the time. Its history ended tragically on July 19, 1545, when it sank in the Solent strait during a clash with the French fleet. In 1982, the wreck of the vessel was recovered from the seabed and is now the main attraction of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
