The Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7/B model kit in 1:72 scale from ICM is an excellent proposition for aviation and modeling enthusiasts. This set allows you to build a replica of one of the most famous fighters of World War II, which became a symbol of the German Luftwaffe. The Messerschmitt Bf 109, designed by Willy Messerschmitt and Robert Lusser, was one of the most technologically advanced aircraft of its time, and its various versions were used on all European fronts until the end of the war.

Model features:

  • Scale: 1:72
  • Manufacturer: ICM
  • Catalog number: 72135

Two versions of markings to choose from:

  • Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7/B, Leutnant Heindl, Gruppen-Adjutant ll./JG 54, Yugoslavia, April 1941.
  • Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7/B, lll./ZG 1, Russia, summer 1942.

History and significance of the Messerschmitt Bf 109: The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was one of the first high-speed monoplane fighters that appeared in the 1930s. Its design featured an all-metal fuselage, a closed cockpit, and retractable landing gear, making it one of the most modern aircraft of its time. Powered by a Daimler-Benz 601 engine, the Bf 109 achieved a maximum speed of up to 550 km/h at an altitude of 4500 meters.

The Bf 109E-7/B version, introduced in the summer of 1940, was equipped with bomb racks, allowing it to carry a bomb load of up to 500 kg. These aircraft participated in battles in the Balkans, North Africa, and on the Eastern Front in 1941-1942. The Bf 109E-7/B was used both as a fighter and a dive bomber, making it a versatile tool in the Luftwaffe's arsenal.
