History and construction:
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the primary and most widely produced fighter of the Luftwaffe. The F (Friedrich) version, introduced in late 1940 and early 1941, is considered by many pilots to be the peak of aerodynamic achievement in the entire Bf 109 family. Changes included, among others, a new fuselage shape, rounded wingtips, and a modified engine cowling. The F-4 model featured reinforced armament in the form of an MG 151/20 cannon firing through the propeller hub and improved pilot armor.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. Assembly requires separately sold modeling tools (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
