Plastic model kit: Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 ProfiPack Edition 1:48 Eduard 82167
Plastic model kit depicting the German World War II fighter aircraft Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale. This is the ProfiPACK series release, characterized by high detail quality and additional enhancement elements.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is undoubtedly one of the most iconic designs in aviation history. As the primary fighter of the Luftwaffe, it participated in all World War II campaigns, from the invasion of Poland to the final days of the Reich's defense. The G version, popularly known as "Gustav," was the most widely produced variant of this aircraft. The G-6 model, introduced in 1943, was distinguished primarily by its reinforced fuselage armament – the previous 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns were replaced with heavy 13 mm MG 131 machine guns, which necessitated characteristic bulges on the engine cowling in front of the pilot's cockpit.
Set contents:
- Grey plastic sprues with precisely reproduced panel lines.
- Sprue with clear parts (canopy in various versions).
- Color photo-etched fret with cockpit details, including pilot harnesses and instrument panel.
- Sheet of paint masks to facilitate painting the canopy and wheels.
- Two decal sheets with service lettering and markings for five attractive painting schemes.
Available marking options:
- Bf 109G-6, W.Nr. 18107, Uffz. Georg Amon, 7./JG 53, Torazzo-Catania, Sicily, June 1943.
- Bf 109G-6/R6, W.Nr. 18502 or 18503, Hptm. Horst Carganico, commander of II./JG 5, Pskov-South, USSR, early 1944.
- Bf 109G-6/R6/Trop, W.Nr. 27169, Fw. Heinrich Bartels, 11./JG 27, Kalamaki, Greece, November 1943.
- Bf 109G-6, W.Nr. 19456, Oberst. Hannes Trautloft, Stab General der Jagdflieger, USSR, August 1943.
- Bf 109G-6/R6, W.Nr. 26048, Oblt. Friedrich Brock, 8./JG 54, Ludwiglust, Germany, January 1944.
The set allows for building the model with a standard canopy and standard rudder. Thanks to the included ProfiPACK accessories, the modeler receives a complete product allowing for the creation of a miniature with a very high degree of realism.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold model tools are required (including nippers, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and glue for plastic models (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
