Basic tasks of the Mi-17:
- Transport of people and cargo in the cargo cabin up to 4000 kg.
- Ability to carry external loads up to 3000 kg.
- Transport of paratroopers – up to 24 people with full equipment.
- Medical version – transport of up to 12 injured on stretchers or a combination of 3 injured on stretchers and 17 seated.
- Battlefield support – carrying unguided rocket pods and aerial bombs.
Powertrain: The Mi-17 is powered by two TW3-117MT series 3 turbine aircraft engines, which provide reliability and efficiency in various operating conditions. These engines are mounted above the ceiling of the middle part of the fuselage, allowing for optimal use of space and power.
