Description
Plastic model helicopter for assembly: Mi-24V/VP Soviet attack helicopter 1:48 Zvezda 4823
The Mi-24 attack helicopter was developed by the M.L. Mil Design Bureau in the late 1960s and adopted by the Soviet Army in 1976. It became the most popular modification of the Mi-24 – about a thousand were produced. The first war for the Mi-24V was Afghanistan, where the helicopter proved to be a reliable, well-protected, and powerful machine against the enemy. In addition to bombs and missiles on six external hardpoints, the Mi-24V has a rotating installation with a four-barreled large-caliber 12.7 mm cannon under the front cockpit, where the gunner operates the onboard weaponry. The machine gun is the YakB-12.7. If you choose instead to use the twin-barreled 23 mm GSh-23L cannon, which is also included in the kit, you will get the Mi-24VP modification.
Kit for self-assembly and painting. Does not include paints or glue. For assembly, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
