Soviet jet fighter MiG-17 Fresco

The plastic model to assemble represents the MiG-17, one of the most widely used jet fighters in aviation history. The aircraft was developed in the Mikoyan and Gurevich design bureau in the late 1940s as a deep modernization of the successful MiG-15 model. The main change was the use of wings with a greater sweep and the elongation of the fuselage, which significantly improved flying characteristics at transonic speeds.

The MiG-17 gained fame primarily during the Vietnam War, where despite the lack of advanced missile armament, due to its maneuverability and strong gun armament, it posed a serious threat to more modern American aircraft. The aircraft was produced under license in many countries, including Poland under the designation Lim-5.
