Description

MiG-29A/UB Paint Set 4-colour scheme 6x17ml Hataka BS105

Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing standard colors used on MiG-29A/UB aircraft in the service of Warsaw Pact countries. Although most aircraft of this type used the standard gray-green camouflage, the examples delivered to Czechoslovakia and the German Democratic Republic featured a distinctive four-color scheme.

History and usage:

Czechoslovakia received 18 MiG-29A (variant 9.12A) and 2 two-seat MiG-29UB (variant 9.51) – all in a four-color scheme. After the country's dissolution in 1992, the aircraft were divided between the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Czech machines were later sold to Poland in 1995-96. Meanwhile, the GDR received 20 MiG-29A and 4 MiG-29UB, which were taken over by the Luftwaffe after the reunification of Germany, and ultimately in 2003-04 also joined the Polish Air Force.
