The Model T, also known as "Tin Lizzie," was the first mass-produced car, making it accessible to a wide audience, including the middle class. The first Model T was built on September 27, 1908, and was equipped with a four-cylinder engine producing 22.5 HP. Mass production began at the Highland Park Ford Plant in Michigan in early 1914. Between 1908 and 1927, a total of 15,007,003 units of this model were produced.
The 1912 Commercial Roadster version featured an open roadster body with three seating positions, making it an ideal choice for small business owners and merchants of that time.
