Description
Modern British Army & RAF AFV Paint Set 8x17ml Hataka HTK-BS77
Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing standard colors of British military vehicles used since the 1950s.
After the end of World War II, British forces continued to use the color S.C.C. No. 15 Olive Drab as the basic camouflage color (except in desert areas where Light Stone was used). In 1955, a new color was introduced - No. 24 Deep Bronze Green in a glossy finish. Another significant change occurred in late 1971 when NATO Green became the base color, onto which black camouflage spots (NATO Black) were applied. Operations in the Near and Middle East required the use of desert camouflage, initially based on the color Light Stone, and later (during operations Granby and Telic) also Desert Sand.
The set includes 8 bottles of 17ml with the following colors:
- HTK-B271 BS Deep Bronze Green (BS381C:224) - standard color of British Army vehicles in Europe and the Far East from 1955 to the early 70s.
- HTK-B145 RAF Blue-Grey (BS381C:633) - color of RAF vehicles in Europe and the Far East from the end of World War II to the early 70s.
- HTK-B275 BS Golden Yellow (BS381C:356) - used until the 60s on the upper surfaces of RAF vehicles operating at airfields.
- HTK-B237 BS Light Stone (BS381C:361) - standard desert color of the British Army after World War II, used during operations Granby and Telic, among others.
- HTK-B215 BS NATO (IRR) Green (BS381C:285) - base color of British Army and RAF vehicles since the early 70s.
- HTK-B125 NATO Black - used for painting camouflage spots on NATO Green since the early 70s.
- HTK-B068 US Army Desert Sand - used in the desert camouflage of vehicles under RAF command during operation Granby.
- HTK-A153 Acrylic Temporary White - washable matte white paint for applying improvised winter camouflage.
