Modern Luftwaffe Paint Set Vol. 1 8x17ml Hataka BS48

A set of acrylic paints from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush application, containing standard colors used by the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) and Navy (Marineflieger) from the 1960s to the early 1980s.

During this period, the German Air Force used several characteristic camouflage schemes. The most popular of these are Norm 62, Norm 72, and the later introduced Norm 76, which could be found on early Panavia Tornado aircraft. These camouflages were mainly based on a combination of Basalt Grey and Yellow Olive colors on the upper surfaces of the airframe. In turn, the Navy used the Norm 76 variant, where the upper surfaces were painted Basalt Grey, and the lower surfaces White Aluminium or Light Grey.

It is worth noting that early jet aircraft such as the CL-13 Sabre, F-84 Thunderstreak, or F-104 Starfighter often remained in the natural metal color (aluminium), with the lower wing surfaces of the Starfighters painted in a specific shade of Voodoo Grey. A characteristic element of many schemes from this period was also the bright identification markings in Luminous Orange.

• HTK-B190 White Aluminium (RAL 9006) - color of lower surfaces in Norm 62 (F-104G), Norm 72 (RF/F-4E/F, C-160D), and Norm 76 Marineflieger (F-104G) schemes.
• HTK-B191 Light Grey (RAL 7035) - used on lower surfaces in the Norm 76 Marineflieger scheme (Panavia Tornado IDS, Sea Lynx Mk 88).
• HTK-B192 Basalt Grey (RAL 7012) - color of upper surfaces in Norm 62, 72, 76, and Norm 76 Marineflieger schemes.
• HTK-B193 Yellow Olive (RAL 6014) - color of upper surfaces in Norm 62, Norm 72, and Norm 76 schemes.
• HTK-B194 Luminous Orange (RAL 2005) - bright color for warning and identification markings.
• HTK-B078 Aluminium - general color of early Luftwaffe machines (CL-13, F-84, F-104G) in natural metal finish.
• HTK-B201 Voodoo Grey (FS16515) - color of the lower wing surfaces of early F-104 Starfighters.
