Mr. Hobby N052 Olive Drab (1) paint 10ml N052

Acrylic paint from the Mr. Acrysion series, catalog number N052, in the color Olive Drab (1). This is a modern, water-based modeling paint characterized by high user safety and excellent working properties.

The color Olive Drab (1) is a specific shade that was widely used by the US military, especially on military helicopters during the conflict in Vietnam. It differs significantly from contemporary variants of Olive Drab found on machines like the Blackhawk or Apache, which were introduced in the late 1970s. According to historical sources, this shade corresponds to FS34087 standards (later designated as FS34088).

Water-based formula is non-toxic and has a mild odor.
The paint does not clog the airbrush nozzle, allowing for long and precise work.
When dry, it forms a hard, scratch-resistant coating that withstands masking with modeling tapes well.
Can be used on various substrates: plastic, metal, paper, and ceramics.

Instructions for use:

The contents of the jar must be mixed very thoroughly before painting.
The paint can be applied with a brush or airbrush.
For thinning, the dedicated Acrysion Solvent is recommended in a ratio from 1:0.5 to 1:1.5, although using water is also possible.
For best adhesion and a smooth surface, applying a primer beforehand (e.g., from the Mr. Surfacer series) is recommended.
The painted surface can be protected with a clear coat to prepare the model for applying decals and weathering processes.

If you wish to change the gloss level, N-040 Flat Base can be added to the paint (adding 5-10% reduces the gloss by one degree).
