Nakajima C6N Saiun was one of the fastest and most advanced reconnaissance aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Designed specifically for carrier operations, it featured a sleek silhouette and excellent performance that allowed it to evade interception by most Allied fighters of that period. A famous report after one operational flight stated: "No Grumman can catch us." The aircraft entered service in 1944 and was used until the very end of the war in the Pacific, serving not only for reconnaissance but, in later versions, also as a night fighter and a platform for kamikaze attacks.
