History and background of the model: The Nissan Silvia is a series of small sports cars produced by Nissan. Silvia versions were exported as 200SX or 240SX, and some were sold under the Datsun brand. The S110 model, to which this kit belongs, was available as a 2-door hardtop coupe and as a 3-door hatchback, known in Japan as Gazelle.
The Silvia S110 was initially designed with a rotary engine in mind, but due to its unreliability, it was ultimately decided to use conventional piston engines from the Z series. The Turbo ZSE version, which can be built from this kit, was equipped with a turbocharged Z18ET engine, available only in the Japanese market after the facelift in 1981.
The S110 Silvia shared its platform with the Nissan Sunny B310 and the larger Nissan Violet A10. After the facelift in 1981, the model received new bumpers and a redesigned front, giving it a more modern appearance. The Turbo version, despite its sporty character, did not have a turbo boost gauge, which was unusual for this type of vehicle.
Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. Assembly requires separately sold modeling tools (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g., Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
