Plastic military model kit: NM-116 1:35 AFV Club 35S82

NM-116 is a Norwegian light tank, which is a deep modernization of the American M24 Chaffee vehicle, carried out in the 1970s. The aim of the program was to adapt outdated units to the requirements of the modern battlefield within a limited budget. Key changes included replacing the 75 mm gun with a low-pressure 90 mm D-925 gun and installing a modern fire control system with a Simrad LV3 laser rangefinder. The gasoline engine was also replaced with a Detroit Diesel 6V53T diesel unit, significantly improving the vehicle's range and reliability. NM-116s served in the Royal Norwegian Army as tank destroyers and reconnaissance vehicles until 1993.
