A plastic model kit depicting the Northrop KF-5E Tiger II fighter in 1:144 scale. The KF-5E Tiger II is a licensed version of the American Northrop F-5E Tiger II fighter, operated by the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF). These aircraft were jointly produced by Korean Air Industries (airframe) and Samsung Precision (engines) since the 1970s to strengthen South Korea's defense capabilities. Although more modern designs have entered service, the KF-5E still plays a significant role in the country's air defense system.

The F-5 is a legendary light fighter designed by Northrop. The design was characterized by low operating costs, ease of use, and a high combat readiness ratio. Thanks to the use of two small turbojet engines, the aircraft achieved supersonic speeds while maintaining a very small size compared to contemporary machines like the F-4 Phantom.
