Plastic model kit for assembly: P-39Q Airacobra USAAF 1:48 Hobby 2000 48047
A plastic model kit depicting the American fighter aircraft from the World War II era - the Bell P-39Q Airacobra in USAAF markings. The set has been prepared by Hobby 2000 and is based on proven sprues, supplemented with high-quality new decals.
History of the original:The Bell P-39 Airacobra was one of the most unusual fighter designs of its time. The engine, placed centrally behind the cockpit, connected by a long shaft to the propeller, allowed for the installation of powerful armament in the nose of the machine in the form of a 37 mm cannon. The Q version was the last and most widely produced variant of the Airacobra, characterized, among other things, by underwing pods with 12.7 mm machine guns, which significantly improved the firepower of the machine compared to earlier versions.
