Plastic model kit depicting the Republic P-47D-22RE Thunderbolt aircraft in French Air Force colors. The P-47 Thunderbolt, commonly known as the "Jug," was one of the heaviest and most powerful piston-engine fighters of World War II. The D-22RE version was characterized by, among other things, the use of a larger diameter Hamilton Standard propeller, which significantly improved the machine's climbing performance.

These aircraft played a key role in the Free French Air Force (Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres) units, operating over Western Europe and supporting ground operations during the liberation of France. Thanks to their legendary durability and powerful armament, Thunderbolts were ideal machines for ground-attack and tactical support missions, remaining in French service even after the end of hostilities.
