History and significance of the Packard Twelve: The Packard Twelve is a series of luxury cars with a V12 engine, produced by the Packard Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan. The first generation of these vehicles was produced from 1916 to 1923, and then returned to the market from 1933 to 1939. These cars were symbols of luxury and prestige, and their production was a response to the growing demand for exclusive vehicles in the United States.

The 1936 model, known as the Series 14, featured an impressive 12-cylinder V engine with a power output of 175 HP. Versions with a 144-inch wheelbase (Series 1408) were equipped with closed limousine bodies that could accommodate up to seven passengers. Several of these vehicles were purchased by the Soviet Special Purpose Garage, which served government transportation needs.

During World War II, specially ordered armored versions of the Packard Twelve were used by Joseph Stalin, highlighting their significance and prestige at that time. These cars were not only symbols of luxury but also a testament to the advanced technology and engineering of that era.
