A plastic model kit depicting the legendary Soviet multi-role aircraft Polikarpov Po-2 (also known as U-2) in 1:72 scale. The set prepared by the Czech manufacturer Směr is an edition in refreshed packaging from 2022.

The Polikarpov Po-2 is one of the most iconic designs in aviation history. Designed in the late 1920s by Nikolai Polikarpov, it originally served as a trainer and liaison aircraft. Thanks to its simple wood-and-fabric construction and exceptional resistance to pilot error, it became an extremely versatile machine. During World War II, the Po-2 gained fame as a light night bomber, used, among others, by the famous female 588th Night Bomber Regiment, called the Night Witches by the Germans. The aircraft was characterized by a very low minimum speed, which made it a difficult target for fast Luftwaffe fighters.
