Description
Plastic figure for assembly and painting: Command of Polish Uhlans on Horses 1939 1:72 First To Fight PL072
Plastic model kit depicting the Command of Polish Uhlans on horses from the September Campaign of 1939. The set was prepared by the Polish manufacturer First To Fight as part of the "September 1939" publication series.
Cavalry in the Polish Army of the Second Polish Republic played a key role, being a formation with a high degree of training and mobility. Uhlan command at the squadron or regiment level was responsible for coordinating actions in difficult terrain, where horse communication often proved reliable. Polish Uhlans in 1939 did not fight only with lances and sabers, but constituted an elite motorized infantry (they moved on horseback, fought on foot), supported by modern weaponry, such as the wz. 35 Ur anti-tank rifle.
The set allows for recreating a command scene, containing figures of Uhlans in full combat gear on horses. The models are characterized by attention to the details of the uniforms and equipment typical of Polish cavalry from the late 1930s.
