Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing standard colors of British naval aircraft used during World War II by the RAF Coastal Command and the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm.
Contents of the set:- HTK-B140 BS Extra Dark Sea Grey - used on the upper surfaces in the Temperate Sea Scheme; from 1944, the basic color of the upper surfaces of RAF Coastal Command aircraft.
- HTK-B202 BS Dark Slate Grey - used on the upper surfaces of RAF CC and RN FAA aircraft in the Temperate Sea Scheme.
- HTK-B203 Sky Grey - early color of the lower surfaces of Fleet Air Arm aircraft (used until September 1940).
- HTK-B026 Sky "Type S" - standard color of the lower surfaces of RAF CC and RN FAA aircraft from mid-1940.
- HTK-B049 Insignia White - used on the lower surfaces of large RAF CC aircraft from mid-1941, and from 1944 on all aircraft of this formation.
- HTK-B025 Interior Grey-Green - standard color of the interiors of British naval aircraft throughout the conflict.
One of the most iconic machines that wore these colors was the Fairey Swordfish - a British biplane torpedo-bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. Despite its conservative design with an open cockpit and fixed landing gear, it played a key role in naval operations, including the attack on Taranto and the pursuit of the battleship Bismarck.
