RAF South-East Asia Paint Set 6x17ml Hataka BS115

Acrylic paint set from the Blue Line series, optimized for brush painting, containing the standard colors of RAF aircraft operating in South-East Asia from 1941 to 1945.

Historical Background:

From 1941-42, RAF aircraft in this region used the Temperate Land Scheme (Dark Green + Dark Earth) with lower surfaces in Sky or Sky Blue (especially on Brewster Buffalo Mk.I and some Hurricanes). From 1942, fighters delivered to this theater of operations had the Day Fighter Scheme, in which Ocean Grey was often locally overpainted with Dark Earth. By early 1943, the so-called SEAC scheme (DG+DE/MSG) was widely used, which became the official standard for fighters and fighter-bombers in April 1944. SEAC bombers operated throughout the war in standard camouflage DG+DE with lower surfaces in Night or Sky color.
