Description
Royal Air Force paint set Hataka BS07
Standard camouflage colors of RAF aircraft during World War II.
RAF aircraft entered World War II in a moderate land scheme consisting of dark green and dark green (hence the colloquial name sand and spinach) on a black-and-white underside.
After May 1940, the undersides of all fighters (and later also fighter-bombers) were repainted in Sky Type S.
After the Battle of Britain, starting in September 1941, a scheme more suitable for offensive patrols over continental Europe was introduced in Fighter Command aircraft - Dark Earth was replaced with Ocean Grey, and Sky Type S with Medium Sea Grey.
The set contains 6 paints with a capacity of 17ml.
