Historical background of the T-72 tank: The T-72 tank, introduced into service with the Soviet Army in 1973, is one of the most recognizable main battle tanks in the world. Produced in Nizhny Tagil at the Ural Wagon Factory, it became a symbol of Soviet military power. By the mid-1990s, around 20,000 units of this tank had been produced, and licenses for its production were sold to several countries, including Poland, Czechoslovakia, India, and Yugoslavia.

Design and armament: The T-72 tank features a classic design layout with the driver's compartment at the front, combat compartment in the middle, and engine compartment at the rear. The hull is welded from armored plates and has layered armor at the front. The turret, cast as a single piece since the T-72A version, includes additional sand cores for increased protection.

The main armament consists of a 125 mm smoothbore gun 2A46, stabilized in two planes and equipped with a mechanized ammunition feeding system. Additionally, the tank is equipped with a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun PKT and a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun NSWT.

Assembly and painting kit. Does not include paints or glue. To assemble, separately sold modeling tools are needed (including cutters, files, tweezers), paints, brushes, and plastic model glue (e.g. Tamiya Extra Thin Cement). The photo shows a professionally assembled and painted model.
