History and technical background of T-72B3M: The T-72B3M is a modernized version of the T-72B3 tank, which was introduced into service in the Russian armed forces in 2018. This modernization was a response to issues with the earlier T-72B3 model and included the introduction of a new V-92S2F diesel engine with a power of 1130 HP. The tank was equipped with 4S23 Relikt reactive armor and cage armor, significantly increasing its resistance to light anti-tank missile attacks.

The T-72, with its first models entering production in 1973, is one of the most widely produced tanks in the world, with around 25,000 units manufactured. It has been widely exported and used in many conflicts around the globe. The T-72B3M version continues this tradition, offering modern technological solutions such as the Sosna-U fire control system, a new radio system, and the capability to use guided missiles 9K119M Refleks-M.
