A plastic model kit depicting the T-72A - a Russian main battle tank that became one of the most recognizable armored designs in the world. The T-72A was in mass production from 1979 to 1985 and was exported to many countries. Outside the USSR, the production of this type of machine was launched in Poland, India, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia, among others.
T-72 tanks made their combat debut in 1982 during the Lebanon War as part of the Syrian army. Their effectiveness on the battlefield was rated very highly, and the then-president of Syria, Hafez al-Assad, called it the best tank in the world, emphasizing the machine's resistance to enemy fire.
