The Sd.Kfz.184 Ferdinand, also known as the Elefant, is a German tank destroyer designed by Ferdinand Porsche. This vehicle debuted during the Battle of Kursk in 1943. Although its first combat use was not entirely successful due to technical issues and lack of infantry support, the Ferdinand gained a reputation for its powerful armament and thick armored protection. Equipped with an 88 mm PaK 43 gun, it was capable of destroying enemy tanks from a long distance, making it a formidable opponent on the battlefield.
The 16-ton Strabokran is a mobile crane that was used by the German armed forces to lift heavy components of armored vehicles, such as engines or tank turrets. Its design allowed for quick setup and dismantling, which was crucial in frontline conditions where time and mobility were of the essence.
