Vehicle history: Sd.Kfz. 234/4, also known as Schwerer Panzerspahwagen (7.5 cm PaK 40), is a German self-propelled anti-tank gun built on the chassis of an armored car. Its design was commissioned by Adolf Hitler on November 27, 1944, in response to the growing demand for armored vehicles. The vehicle was equipped with a 75 mm PaK 40 anti-tank gun, which was mounted on special brackets in the semi-open chassis of the Sd.Kfz.234 armored car.
Production of this model began in December 1944 and continued until March 1945, during which time 89 units were produced. Sd.Kfz. 234/4 was systematically introduced into the armament of anti-tank squadrons and participated in combat until the end of World War II.
