History and use of the vehicle: The Sd.Kfz. 251/3 Ausf. B, also known as "Hanomag," was one of the most important armored personnel carriers used by the German armed forces during World War II. This vehicle, based on the Sd.Kfz. 11 chassis, was designed as a versatile infantry transport that could carry up to 10 soldiers. Its construction was based on welded armor plates that provided protection against small arms fire.

The Sd.Kfz. 251/3 version was specially adapted for communication tasks, equipped with additional radio equipment. Depending on the needs, the vehicle could be fitted with various types of antennas, such as mast, pole, or frame antennas, allowing for effective management of units on the battlefield.

The Sd.Kfz. 251/3 was used on all fronts of World War II, from the invasion of Poland, through the French campaign, to operations in North Africa and on the Eastern Front.
