Sd.Kfz. 222 (Leichter Panzerspähwagen) was the basic light armored car of the German Wehrmacht during World War II. This vehicle, built on the Horch 801 chassis with four-wheel drive, was characterized by high mobility and good off-road capabilities. The 222 version was armed with a 20 mm KwK 30 cannon and a co-axial MG34 machine gun, allowing for effective reconnaissance and combat against lightly armored targets and infantry. These vehicles served on all fronts of the war, from the sands of North Africa to the frozen backroads of Russia.
